I have already seen that movie but I didn't like it that much. Maybe that's because I don't like fantasy-films that much.

But Stellan is a great saxon-leader and make this movie worth watching. It's sad, that his role isn't that big and you can't see him this often. But when his on the screen he's just great. He's a really evil, brutal, cool saxon-leader. And dies in the end. Crying or Very sad

I saw the theatrical version but not the unrated version yet. Pretty good I thought. I find sometimes that Hollywood hires great actors for small parts. They may be small but they can be crucial to the storyline.

I know. Makes me sad too when an actor I like "dies" on screen. I probably would've cried if I saw Lar get killed off on Knots Landing. Crying or Very sad

I also like Clive Owen in the movie. He was also great in Sin City, Derailed, Inside Man, and The Bourne Identity! I would've love to see him play James Bond! That would've been sweet! cherry

Keira's best performance to date for me personally came recently in 'Domino'. Cool

I find the scruffy look to be very attractive. (Is that just a statement or a confession?)

I have only seen a small handful of his films, and Skarsgard really got my attention in this film.

Cutie: I'm no world historian - but about Arthur's clean but appearance: Arthur was Roman, and Rome had initialized the idea of the "uniformed" army. If it wasn't for Rome, the "clean cut" look might not be as popular as it is now.

And about the death scene: Watching a good actor die on screen can be thrilling because they do it so well (So long as it's not a Drama, because then it doesn't matter how good the acting is, I WILL cry). I'm willing to bet that most of the time they actually enjoy the opportunity. cheers

Some of my favorite deaths on screen:
Bonnie and Clyde
Boromir in Fellowship of the Rings
Malone in The Untouchables
Kane in Alien
McMurphy in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (Although this one falls under drama, and Nicholson isn't even conscious - Will Sampson does well, and the scene is monumental. Beautifully done. I cried buckets).

I like King Arthur, but there is something about the film that keeps me from being crazy about it. I don't know what it is.

One of my favorite books is The Mists of Avalon. King Arthur’s historical interpretation was very different from this book- which I appreciate. Morgan Le Fay might not fit into the film’s historical perception at all, but I think it would have been nice to have her character in there somewhere. Just a personal thing.

I first saw this movie because of Clive Owen. I didn´t know that Stellan was the Saxon-guy because of his look.
Later I watched "Powder Keg" also because of Clive Owen. I noticed the nice man in this video (the war-photographer Harvey Jacobs). Then I looked into the movie list of Stellan Skarsgård and realised that Stellan was in the "King Arthur"-movie. So I watched it again to see what I hadn´t seen the first time.
I like the movie and just have to say that the part of Stellan was very little again. I don´t have any problems with the long hair, I think it´s great.

Here are two video-clips for you to watch:
